Tony has also been a member of an NZQA Advisory Board, and has worked on university Divisional Boards, a hospital ethics committee, and course and degree evaluation committees for Training College and University courses.
Summary of Experience
Tony has run numerous tailor made and off the shelf workshops on career transition management, particularly in down-sizing and redundancy situations; he has trained managers to career coach their staff.
He has also worked with a wide range of individuals from the public and private sectors, focusing on career evaluation, analyzing skills, drivers, values, and career options, giving 360 feedback, helping with CV preparation and training individuals for job interviews.
He has also facilitated groups on a range of issues, for example work-flow and ownership, career development, strategic planning etc.
Tony has had extensive experience in mentoring and supervising a wide range of professionals - hospice medical officers and managers, funeral directors and managers in schools and local government. He is a trained supervisor.
Tony has headed a university faculty, and led it through reviews, quality auditing, downsizing, and redeployment of academic and general staff. He also worked for two years as a change manager for a voluntary sector social work agency, establishing key policy documents, liaising with Government departments and funding bodies, establishing professional performance criteria for staff, doing strategic planning and leading staff training.
More recently Tony has chaired an English-speaking telephone Help Line in Paris, France, managing a large group of international volunteer workers and supporters. |
